First boo boo.

My style seem to vary a lot , if you scroll down the page, it looks like different people post here,
it is because I place some old paintings and new next to each other in this blog. I am growing as a painter and it shows.
Well.., any way, will try to stick to one style for now to finish a set of toy still lives.
I am planning on doing more only because they are fun and allow to create some kind of a story- a toy story ;) .

Environmentally Friendly Still life.

I started this painting a couple of years ago, but was never really completely happy with it , today I knew what I should do to fix it, it just came to me. And... here it is for your viewing, ready to be displayed.

It Came From The 80s.

80s is the theme of the show I am participating in this weekend.

Alice.

Isn't it odd when a cartoon character looks just like you? I heard a theory that every one has a double some where out there.  My double just happened to be Alice from a russian version of Lewis Carroll's story. The animation came out in 82 when I was 7, that is just very odd.

I did these studies very quick 2-4 hours.
I am working on the Disney Princess project now, but thought I should update my blog.
Here are some of my older work. This piece I call "One Eye Open" or "Guard".

Landscape.

This is some of my older work . I was very much into moody sky and clouds.

John's going away present.

John is leaving our group.
I actually like drawing something for going way presents, I don't get asked to do that very often, so it is always a treat for me .

A small sketch to commemorate all the little bunnies that die every day in cruel clutches of predators. Save the bunnies!!!

View from window of Disney building.

UK team has such a nice view from their building!!!
That day I bought a new fountain pen and decided to try it out.

Albrecht Dürer's House.

Not many people know that Durer lived in Nuremberg for some time.
His house is a museum now. I will post photo about it soon on my other journal. This sketch I did on a very cold day sacrificing whatever warmth I had left in my hands. Brrrr.

Man on the Tube.

This man I sew on a metro train in London. He had a very strange triangular head and an expressive face the kind I like to draw.
I finished the drawing home.

Star Trek.

One friend of mine asked me to post some of the sculpture I did in the past.
Just to dilute the drawings and paintings and to make it more interesting, here are some of the best pieces I made.
This is a portrait of Jean-Luc Picard played by Patrick Stewart, I sculpted it for a 12 " collectible figurine.
Body was made by another sculptor.

This is for you Star Trek fans out there. This is 6 " collectible Seven of Nine played by Jeri Ryan.

Eddy.

This is one of my old paintings again. Soon I am going to run out of old things to post and going to be forced to start working on something new.
They recommend you not to paint portraits larger than natural human head size. I ignored it, and I don't regret it :)
My teachers also told us to use as little black paint as possible,
I ignore that too. Actually in my opinion my work greatly improved when I started to forsake some of the things my school taught me, I don't want to sound arrogant or anything, it's just when you brake away from some one's ways in art you start to be more you.

Not all is lost.

I finished this set awhile ago.
The idea was to show hope. That something is still alive in the seemingly dead still life.

Princess.

The Drawing Club had this setting: model dressed as a princess.
I tried doing 2 different approaches. I think number 2 came out better.

В клубе рисунка била постановка: принцесса. Я решила 2 разних стиля применить.
Помоему второй больше удался.

What's new with me.

Lately I have been getting into photography. I have been caring my camera everywhere with me.
I decided to start one more blog and place only photographs there.
Both will get equal love from me I promise.
So this new journal is very fresh and will likely be still transforming and improving as time goes.
Please check it out, let me know you honest opinions. I am a beginner and would really appreciate your thoughts.
Ryan, can't wait to hear from you :)

Nude study.

I drew this while being very tiered and sleepy, my hand was doing very crude movements on it's own accord. I pushed myself to continue and see what would come of it.
